Cemfloor

With over 50 years’ experience in the industry and more specifically 15 years in the liquid screed industry, Cemfloor and McGraths Limestone are industry leaders in the fast-drying liquid screed market. They have been producing liquid screed in house at their facility in Cong, Co Mayo, Ireland for 15 years.

Firstly, they began by producing simple sand, cement, high purity limestone fines with a combination of a super plasticiser mixture. This product was successful but always had a number of issues such as drying times, certain depths and conditions and it was always felt it could be improved. This enabled them to learn more about the market, gain valuable insight and knowledge and strive to produce a superior product.

The result? Cemfloor! A fast drying, no laitance free flowing, liquid screed. Available in varied strength ratings for different applications through various ready mix suppliers. Typically delivered by traditional ready mix trucks within a 15-20 mile radius of batching plants.

Cemfloor

Cemfloor is a cement based screed. Floor coverings can be applied much faster than calcium sulphate screeds which need to be dried to a final moisture content of 0.5%CM, which can delay floor finish installations by months. Cemfloor can be tiled at a final moisture content of 3.5%CM and timber floors can be installed at a final moisture content of 2.5%CM; speeding up the entire build process. Compared with other liquid screeds which generally need to be force dried with underfloor heating; Cemfloor screeds can be used in non heated floors as they don’t require force drying to remove moisture. Using the correct tile adhesives; tiles can be placed in as little as 5 days in non- heated floors and after 16 days in heated floors once the heating has been commissioned. Available in C20, C25 and C30 strengths for various domestic and commercial applications.
